Rioja, Spain’s flagship wine region is becoming increasingly known as a travel destination. Phipps wanted to make sure that wine tourism was at the top of the agenda for regular travellers and encourage visitors to the region.
Since 2015, when British Airways launched its direct flights from Heathrow to Bilbao, the heart of the Rioja wine region, Phipps has been promoting its wines through a brand awareness and sampling campaign taking place across key BA Heathrow lounges throughout June.
Since 2015, our Festival of Rioja activity with British Airways has reached over 10 million consumers with over 180,000 glasses of wine being sampled.
