With a background in publishing and 15 years behind her in PR, Nicky has tried to keep her youthful looks and sense of humour intact. A thoughtful strategist at heart, Nicky turned to PR and has never looked back.  She sees it as the marketing discipline for thinking people and is known in the industry for her perceptive and intuitive approach.  A regular on the speaker circuit, a judge at the PRCA awards and Chair of the ISC Marketing Awards Nicky is known for her strong counsel and leadership.

Having lived on both sides of the globe, Johara’s taste buds developed from the shores of Vancouver to the vineyards of Alsace before taking on the food and drink scene in the UK. A consumer heavyweight, her last decade of campaigns include creating edible gardens with Raymond Blanc OBE,  highlighting the 17 cuisines of London’s Chinatown, creating the first ever Jersey Royal potato pop up, and a Krug Creperie in Covent Garden.

Alex Layton

With a proven track record of developing and running highly-successful marketing and communication strategies across leading global brands, retail and generic campaigns, wine specialist Alex has worked at a senior level both in-agency and in-house. He combines an excellent knowledge of the industry with consumer insight and extensive press contacts. An accredited direct and digital marketing specialist, Alex has previously lived and worked in Japan where he well and truly caught the travelling bug. His other interests include following his beloved Arsenal FC and all things food and drink – he is a judge at the Guild of Fine Food as well as at the International Wine Challenge.

Rhian Rosser

Rhian Rosser

With over 7 years’ experience in the wine trade, Rhian has worked with some of the finest wines in the world, from super Tuscans such as Sassicaia to big Burgundian legends like Domaine Leflaive. Rhian is now very excited be working with her favourite grape variety; Riesling. Her love of food and (mainly) wine grew from her time living in Italy’s foodie capital Bologna and Lyon, culinary Mecca of France. Rhian is in her element organising events and hosting parties. On a Friday night you will most likely find Rhian serving aperitivo with aperol spritz in her East End retreat, where most of the furniture would look at home on the set of Mad Men. Rhian also captains the Cheetahs, North London’s deadliest women’s netball team.

Lowri Robjohn

Lowri Robjohn

Lowri has always had an eye for the finer things in life so following a language degree and a stint as a TV researcher, she made a beeline for the wine trade. She has worked across the industry moving from retail to the buying team of a leading wholesaler, picking up the WSET Diploma and enjoying some spectacular wines along the way. She’s settled in well to the PR world which satisfies her need to communicate and her love of social occasions. At Phipps she is known for her fondness of fine Cognac and always being up to speed with the latest vinous trends.

Bettina Hepburn

Bettina Hepburn

Bettina grew up in Nicaragua and went on to study French in North Carolina. She discovered her love for food and wine after a short stint in the Loire Valley and started her PR career in the UK working with generic wine campaigns which has now become an area of specialism.  Over the years she has launched and implemented regional and national campaigns for France, Spain and Germany from wine tasting roadshows, to nationwide retail promotions and major wine exhibitions.  Bettina has her own blog, www.faithandvino.com.

Harriet Rodger

Harriet Rodger

A dance student, turned Journalism graduate, now taking a stab at PR, Harriet has worked across a wide selection of brands in her first two years in the industry. From fashion to beauty, Disney On Ice to Bacardi and Mount Gay Rum to singer, song-writer Jessie Ware, Harriet has enjoyed working with a whole host of clients in her career so far. Now turning her skills to all things food and drink, Harriet can often be found wandering through the streets of London discovering all things new and arty. A self-confessing terrible cook, she spends most of her days chilling out in newest food and drink hang outs, always seeking strong coffee and a good beer.

Helen Schnabel

Helen joins the Phipps team with an impressive range of consumer PR experience working with brands such as Graze.com and Bioglan Superfoods. An English graduate with a fanatical obsession with grammar, Helen’s excellent writing skills mean she is equally able to carve a killer press release as she is to write up a review on her blog, For Goodness Cakes. A coffee connoisseur, cake aficionado and home-baker extraordinaire, Helen’s homemade breakfast bars are already firm favourites amongst the Phipps team.

Aisling Brown

Aisling’s love of food and drink stemmed from her upbringing that spanned several continents, inspiring her to set her sights on the world of gastronomic PR. Working with brands such as the world-famous Chocolate Show, Jersey Royals, French’s mustard and Frank’s RedHot sauce and M&S, Aisling brings with her a wealth of consumer knowledge and event organisation skills, helping to create the first ever Jersey Royals pop-up. Caroline Tanner

Caroline Tanner

Caroline’s love of food and wine began with an obsession with France. After graduating from Cambridge with a degree in modern languages, passing the Leiths diploma in food and wine, gaining WSET Level 3, spending a year as a pastry chef at the Ritz and escaping the kitchen to discover the drinks trade, she found Phipps!  Happiest producing events and working up a media angle, she is always keen to learn something new and will jump at any challenge.  In her spare time Caroline can be found solving crosswords and taking lots of pictures of food (when she remembers not to eat it first!).

Louise Carlsen

Louise Carlsen

Louise’s interest for food and wine started with her first job in an Italian restaurant and wine bar right in the heart of her hometown Copenhagen, where her love for a good glass of Sangiovese blossomed. After moving to London, she took on an internship with Phipps whilst finishing her degree in Corporate Communications.  After graduating in 2018, Louise joined team Phipps in a full-time capacity working on French’s Mustard, Franks RedHot and Wines from Rioja.

In her spare time, she can be found seeking out micro-breweries and the best veggie restaurants in South London.

At Phipps we like to look after our team. Not only do we invest in relevant training opportunities but everyone also gets £400 to spend each year learning a new skill – it helps to keep our busy working lives balanced. So far the team has learnt how to snowboard, speak Spanish, arrange flowers, windsurf, make films and apply makeup for the catwalk, to name but a few.
